Now THAT is the kind of company I'd like to be working for...hopefully this is a hint of what the future holds for us GIS professionals.

Oh and by the way, looks like I may be getting laid off tomorrow, so I'm in the middle of a job hunt. Anyone looking for a mid to senior level GIS Manager/Database Analyst type person? I can furnish my resume on request.. *big charming grin*

Nevermind, if I dont get the axe tomorrow, but I think odds are pretty high. I'll keep you up to date.

BC would surely take you back, especially since our GIS guy just left to work for the military. That's right, the government. Ofcourse, I highly doubt you'd want to come back, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try [grin].

MapGeek,

We (at least I) are all waiting to hear. Did you get the axe? I see that in today's news that foreclosures are way up (including GA) and the new housing industry is not in great shape, thus, I expect that is your issue. Like Tfufu, I certainly would recommend that BC take you back, should you need the recommendation, but the group/gang you would join certainly would not be the same. And, after all, I recommended that TheHomeBuilder take you away from BC, and look where that got you. So, what do I know?

Oh, in case y'all didn't know, although I have been very quiet, I have been following the whole gang's blogs for the past several years. Keeps me updated on your guy's thinking for my next novel. Thanks.

OldBossKindOfGuy... (CNG :) )

Yup they axed me last Friday. I'm in the middle of a job hunt while Im on my family vacation this week in Hilton Head. Makes for an interesting combination of relaxation plus anxiety regarding unemployment.

Oh well..this is business, right?
